In 1517, the diarist Marin Sanudo noted that Venice's musicians were in mourning for the courtesan and famed singer Lucia Trevixan, who drew many to her home for musical gatherings. Musica Antica recreate one such night at her home in Cannaregio that year.

Join the director of the renowned Capella Pratensis, Tim Braithwaite, to discover how musicians improvised counterpoint over plainchant during the fifteenth and sixteenth centuries. This workshop is open to participants and observers.
